Adult Bed Bugs are reddish-brown, flattened, oval, and wingless but the legs are well developed and it can crawl up most vertical surfaces. Bed Bugs have microscopic hairs that give them a banded appearance. Adults measure up to 6 mm in length and 1.5–3 mm wide. Newly hatched nymphs are lighter in color and are more translucent, and become browner as they reach maturity.

Bed Bugs can usually be introduced to your property by being attached to luggage, clothing and bags. Bed Bugs may also be introduced through second-hand furniture, beds and other possessions

Bed Bugs need to feed on the blood of a human host. However, in some cases they can survive up to a year without feeding. Bed Bugs are attracted to their hosts primarily by carbon dioxide, secondarily by warmth, and also by certain chemicals.
